Torikawa (Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter｜Yakitori/Kushiyaki (grilled skewers))

Born in Okayama Prefecture, he previously worked in the construction industry, but wanting to try a different field, he pursued a career in yakitori (grilled chicken skewers). Through a fortunate turn of events, he began his apprenticeship at Torikawa, learning everything about yakitori from scratch under the owner. He acquired his skills in an uncompromising environment, learning everything from how to butcher chickens and skewer them to how to grill them. His goal is to create a delicious skewer for each guest. He brings out the best in the ingredients and uses his skillful techniques to create the perfect flavor at the moment of eating. He is a chef who pours the skills he cultivated during his apprenticeship into every single skewer.
