Founded as a small food stall in 1950 by Mitsuo Ise, Mitchan Sohonten is recognized as the origin of Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki. Through years of dedication and innovation, Mitsuo Ise developed the style of okonomiyaki enjoyed today and established many of its traditions, including eating it with a spatula and adding sauce to suit your own taste. Made with layers of fresh cabbage, pork, noodles, and egg, each okonomiyaki is carefully grilled and finished with Mitchan Sohonten's original sauce, creating a perfect balance while allowing the flavor of every ingredient to shine. Our Hatchobori Main Store continues to preserve this tradition while offering a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
