Kenrokuen garden is a stroll-style garden, landscaped by multiple generations of the daimyos (feudal lords) of Kaga domain. In its large compound, a large pond is placed at the center, artificial mountains are mounded around the pond, and several tea houses are skillfully placed so that visitors can take a rest and enjoy the view of the landscape from different angles. There are a variety of plants and flowers in the garden and you can enjoy different flowers in different seasons, such as cherry blossoms in spring, for example. These changes of the sceneries by season attracts many visitors, making them repeatedly visit to enjoy the beautiful scenery by season. Especially, Yukitsuri, or snow-protective lifting tool, is very popular in winter.
