Oboke
Grandeur canyon formed by long, beautiful and rapid current in 200 million years.
Area Map
Oboke is an 8 kilometers long canyon made by the rapid current of the Yoshino River in 200 million years. Beautiful rocks and a V-shape valley are valuable specimens to study how the four islands of Japan were formed - the canyon is designated as a Natural Monument. The Oboke pleasure boat is a highly recommended attraction. Veteran boatmen guide you and you can take a close look at the beautiful canyon. A water rafting lunging through the rapid current will give you a thrilling experience. IT is said to be the roughest rafting experience in Japa . Why don’t you try it?
